How to install Magma5 1.Plug in the CodeMeter USB dongle and let software automaticlly install. 2.Make sure that you are logged into your machine as Administrator. 3.Load Magma5 DVD and follow onscreen wizard prompts. Note: The Magma5 Installation guide gives step-by-step screen shots of wizard, also note that my install was a 'Local' install. (If you are doing a 'Workgroup' Installation you will need to follow the installation guide starting on page #31) 4.This step is very important and was left out of the Magma5 Installation Guide. REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT PROMPTED TO. If you do not reboot you will not be able to log into the license server in the next step, the buttons will be grayed out. 5.Open Magma5 (This takes a little while and you will get an error massage that it 'could not access license server', just click 'OK' to this message.) 6.License Administration window may open automatically but if it doesn't click (Info/License Administration) 7.Click on the 'Login' button and then create & confirm your password. 8.Click on the 'Products' Tab and then on that page click on the 'Request License' button which will open up a 'Request New License for Magma5' window. 9.Complete the information in the Dialog window. 10.There are a couple of ways to get your License file but the absolute easiest way if your computer has Internet access (This is the way I did it) is to click on 'Get License via Internet.' Your license file is immediately transferred and you are asked where you want to save the file. 11.Save the license file in the Magma5 top level folder/directory.
